So here I am...writing a part 3 to single ladies everywhere because we are still in some form of distance/quarantine.
It seems that as a single person, the odds have been stacked against us (in terms of hope of dating) since March of 2020.
Anybody else thought we would be done with the Pandemic by now?!?
As if the Pandemic weren’t enough, we also have all of these underlying factors we encounter as single women. Some feel (or have been told) they are not enough, while others feel (or have been told) they are too much. People will tell you you are too dark or too light. People will say you’re not successful enough, while others will say you’re too successful. The list of who we are or should be could go on and on.
How do I know? Because I have heard all of it. Literally.
Every time I post about being single I get the response “Well have you tried…” “Maybe you should go…”
So What do you do whether you feel not enough or too much? You straighten your crown and keep it pushing!
I can say this because this phase is where I’m living right now.
This is what I have learned…
People will have their opinions of how you should get into the dating pool. Dive, tip toe, be a shark or wade in the kiddie side. One thing you absolutely have to know is what God thinks.
What he says about you!
You are Loved…
You are Forgiven…
You are Chosen…
You are Set Apart…
Christ takes the time, all throughout the bible to remind us that we are his workmanship!
Just read Ephesians Chapters 1 and 2!
It’s right there. As a child of God, he wants the best...For you...For me!
Life is filled with twists and turns. What it teaches us is the capacity of our resilience. It doesn’t mean we don’t cry sometimes or that we don’t have moments where we are completely over being single. But one thing is for sure and that is tomorrow is a new day with new mercies! You never know what it will hold for you. So while you wait to be found, with your eyes wide open. Continue to be encouraged...continue your own personal development...continue to love on yourself...continue to step out of your comfort zone...continue to set the standard and lay the foundation of your life. Anyone who finds you, will have to level up to you. Know that God won’t just send anybody, so don’t settle. While you wait on your person and as I wait on mine, keep your crown straight and be the queen you have been called to be! You are on your very own journey. Make each step count and leave a glitter trail behind for those who are following trying to figure it out with you.
