Destined Journey Defined

Time for a "Re-Do"

I recently saw the cutest hairstyle and decided to style my hair that way. As I’ve gotten older I’ve noticed that I have to take extra precautions when I do my hair like oiling my scalp, making sure I put the right preventative conditioner in those such things. Well in a rush to get this super cute style done, I decided to forgo all of what I knew so that my hair could just be done. Although it came out cute, a week later I noticed that I had a sore on my scalp and unfortunately would have to take my hair down. As a black woman, during the quarantine, I’ve had to use protective hairstyling to make sure that the condition of my hair stays top notch! I didn’t do that this time. So what I decided to do, was take it down and start all over from the beginning doing what I know best. Sometimes in life, we can get to the place where we just want to see the finished product rushing past all the steps that we know to take. Just so that we can keep up with what looks good. Well, life doesn’t work that way. Usually when we rush to get things done our education, a higher pay, rushing into relationships. We end up being somewhere we hadn’t anticipated or prepared for. Usually we end up finding ourselves having to break it all down and start all over using the God-given steps that we knew in the first place we should’ve used. In this world, there are many systems that could probably use a tearing down. There are many systems even in life that could probably use a tearing down and restructuring. This journey of life gives us the room for growth the knowledge to do better in the heart to move forward. Is it easy? no way! Is it worth it? Absolutely! I encourage you to take a long hard look it would not let might not be working well. I encourage you to look at the big picture and then break it down and look at the steps that need to be taken to get there. Don’t rush, everything always works out as it should and as it’s meant to be. And what is meant to be, will be. That’s living a life that is destined and a journey that defined.
