Like Water in the Desert

Yes, the desert has an indescribably amount of beauty. But only from the outside looking in. In the middle of a desert, you may find dust, thorns, bugs...all designed to navigate their assigned environment. In the desert, the gem is water.

For many of us, our lives can seem much like a desert. Especially in the times of which we are living. Not really seeing an end or a ray of hope can be overwhelming. And then the dehydration! Because we were not trained to be in the desert environment. This is not normal living for us. Well, like water in the desert, Christ comes to aid our spiritual dehydration.

Isaiah 43:9

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway in the wilderness I will create rivers in the desert.”

Look for beauty even in the desert. God gives us promises and glimpses of hope like water in a desert. We know that they are there, we just have to keep our eyes wide open, in search of the beauty, glory and divine connection. Like drawing from an oasis. Christ is our water in the desert.
