How are We Showing Up for the Future?

I’ve been thinking a lot about my future. What it will look like with this “new normal” that we are living in. What those coming behind me will feel as evidence of the current times we have encountered and how we handled them. The choices we made.

Then I began to think, “How are we showing up for the future”? You know, our future doctors and lawyers. Our future world changers. Not only that, our future selves.

Are we doing the working and paving the way? Are we protecting by any means necessary?

I recently got a chance to spend some time with a few of my nephews. We laughed, played and talked. And in the way that they speak of me, I can see they hold me in high regard. I can tell that their watching.

So it made me really take a step back and think. Are we really preparing for our future. Not just for folks with children. Have we prepared for our own steps forward. Have we paved the way for our legacy.

I know, deep stuff right.

But with the way things are going in this world, I want to know what world are we leaving behind?
