Destined Journey Defined

Creating a Space where your Spirit aligns with the Father

Many times you hear people talking about aligning themselves or centering. Have you ever just felt like you are floating through life not really connected to one thing? Well I think I reached that point (as I believe everyone does at some point in life) in mid 2019. I know my purpose although facets of it are still unfolding. I know who I am in Christ. But something was missing.

In life, many come to a point where they feel alone, lost and/or confused. Searching for answers. For ME, I know that my answers are directly connected to my FAITH in Christ. In times of crisis, it can be easy to become dismayed and overwhelmed by the times. So creating this space where your spirit is aligned with that of Christ, so that he is centered in your life, this is ESSENTIAL.

Here are 3 ways to find that alignment:

1. Create a welcoming Environment:

Yes, I said it! Welcome Christ in! Would you come into a space where you don’t feel welcomed? When we welcome Christ into our spaces, lives, homes, etc. we surrender all to him. We say

that he is greater than any burden we have.

Psalm 16:11

“In your presence, there is fullness of Joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Psalm 34:18-19

“The lord is near to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

Knowing Christ is ever present creates a foundation for why we welcome him in.

2. Connect with Christ

Connect with the Father through prayer and his word. There is nothing like seeing his written promises to you. There is nothing like knowing we have a savior who hears and listens to our every whim. Prayer permits the presence of peace. Peace in knowing that he is always with us and he hears us.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Gods written word is a daily reminder of miracles, promises, and his power. We go to the word of God for guidance and direction. It is our instructional guide to living a Christlike life. Even when we question our walk, his word directs us on how, why or where we go.

Psalms 119: 105

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

3. Confer with Believers

Confer with likeminded people. When you are trying to build your faith and strengthen your spirit, it is imperative to connect with people who have been where you are and believe what you believe. These are the people who will pour into you and feed your soul. These are not just those who always agree with you. These are the people who advise you and correct you. Making these connections allows the spirit to continuously seek things that are Christlike and that feed the soul.

Proverbs 27:17

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Adopting these 3 C’s into your daily routine will result in a strengthening of your spirit and a stronger connection with our Father. During this time of “Shelter in Place”, know that we serve a savior who is always there and listening! Be courageous and seek after him! He will never disappoint.
